Kolkata Tweet up: September 2009

Very few people turned up but there was lots and lots of fun.

Nabomi- The most remarkable day of Durga Puja 2009

Awesome! Just awesome!
It’s one the most remarkable day of my life in this Durga Puja 2009.

The day started with lots of tension and doubts and ended with lots and lots of fun, excitement and DJ night where Anirban Da, for the 1st time shared a few steps with us with his sprained ankle.

The day started with Kolkata tweetup in Maddox Square. the pre-decided meeting time was 2:30pm, but people are becoming so unprofessional that we got an hour late to reach the spot and it was really frustrating. But finally when we (Anirban da, Debashis, Rohit da, Bastab da & Me) reached Maddox, we felt like we are in a different environment. A huge crowd in the Maddox Square park with lots of colorful birds! And only 10 people to attend koltweetup 😛 all boys no girls; a heart BrEaKiNg moment :(.

Thou the attendance was pretty less, still It was a great fun along with them.

Around 6:30 we left Maddox Square Park and headed for the Desopriyo Park. It had already started drizzling by the time we entered the Park and every one one was running under the sheds. And finally it started raining heavily and only we four jerks (Aniban da, Bastab da, Debashis and Me) were out of shed; enjoying each and every drop of rain along with the sips of MirindAaaaaA. We were completely drenched. Nothing was dry 😛
Woa what a moment that was!!! We were shivering, still we were enjoying getting wet in rain.

And after that it was the time to MOVE OUR BODY in DJ night at Rohit Da’s complex.
It was the most interesting moment for us. For the 1st time Mr. Anirban Saha with is sprained ankle DANCED with us. He was fabulous while shaking his legs to the beats of BUT CAN’T DANCE SALA.

NOTE: Anirban Da, plz don’t mind coz i disclosed ur inner talent 🙂

Kolkata Photo Walking – 20th September 2009

Photowalking is the act of walking with a camera for the main purpose of taking pictures of things that the photographer may find interesting; and the idea of organizing such a Photo Walk in Kolkata has been by Arjun da.
We got a very nice response to the first Photo Walk in Kolkata. when we had started organizing it there were only four people but on the final day(20/09/2009), we got more people.

Photo Walking Team; Missing Mr. Anirban Saha (Snaping)

We all gathered near Golbari, Shyambazar at 7:30am. Most of the people were in time. And after having an interacting session we all headed for our destination – Kumartuli at 8:00am.

It was a busy, crowdy day in Kumartuli.

All the artists were busy in giving finishing touches to the Durga pratimas.

It was all fun out there. Hardly any of the artists had time to talk to us but some how we managed to talk to a few. It was really very nice to hear them.

During such a WALK a very shocking thing happened with us. Arjun da was taking a snap of a old building meanwhile we heard an old man shouting at him in a language which hardly anyone had expected to hear from those people. He was scolding him in ENGLISH!!!! And in the way he scolded him, that was very much insulting so we just ran out of his sight.

But finally it was a great day out there. A day full of fun, excitement and enthusiasm which no one is going to forget. We are hoping to get a media coverage of out snaps within a few days. And We are also planning to have the SECOND KOLKATA PHOTO WALKING SESSION by the end of this year.

A few more snaps taken by me:

A Friend is

Friendship

A friend is someone with whom, your thoughts,
dreams and secrets you can share.
And no matter what you say or do, you know
that they still care.
A friend is always ready to laugh
with you when you are glad.
But has shoulder for you to cry on
at those times when you are sad.

A friend always want the best for you
And they are not happy until you are too.

A friend is never jealous
of the things you may attain.
And if you are the winner you will
not hear them complain.

A friend is a person who could spend everyday
with you, from beginning to end.

When you find someone like this they are more
than a friend they are a …BEST FRIEND

Voice of a child:

baby

“Who am I? What is my identification?
I don’t know the answers. I don’t know my caste, I don’t know my religion, I don’t know my nationality.
Right now am like n unknown flower, which has no name, no identification, no nationality, no caste, no religion, I have nothing; I don’t have any friend, don’t have any enemy too. Am having nothing.
But after someday I will get my identification. I will come to know what is my nationality, caste and religion; Who is my friend and who is my enemy.
All the people around me will make me aware of all those. They will give me my identification; they will say me my caste, my religion, etc. And I will have to live with all those till my death.
But why??? What is the need of caste, religion, race…?? What’s the need???
Can’t we stay without all those?? Can’t we all be friends?? ”

THIS IS FOR ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO FIGHTS AGAINST EACH OTHER REGARDING RELIGION, CASTE, RACE, AND NATIONALITY.
PLEASE TRY TO UNDERSTAND… RELIGION, CASTE, RACE, NATIONALITY ARE JUST HUMAN DEFINED WORDS WHICH ARE CREATING DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CREATIONS OF GOD – “THE HUMAN BEING”.
THE BIGGEST OF ALL, THERE IS ONLY ONE RELIGION, CASTE, RACE AND NATIONALITY, THAT IS THE “HUMANISM”. THERE IS NOTHING BIGGER THAN THAT. IF YOU HAVE THAT THEN ONLY YOU CAN CLAIM TO BE A HUMAN BEING.

[Note:- No insult is intended to any kind of feeling. It’s just an message to the world to stop harming people in the name of race, caste, religion or nationality. Respect HUMANS]
